You've Got Air Mail!

I love Mondays!  Every Monday there's a new challenge at The Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog.  This week the theme is "You've Got Air Mail".  Be still my heart!  I LOVE postal themed projects.  This is going to be a great week!

I started with the intention of making mail art to send to my friends.  After creating a few artsy envelopes, I decided to take it a step further and create a mini mailbox.

The local craft store provided the basics for the project and the decorative elements were all found at Simon Says Stamp.  To start, I used gesso on everything so that the paint would adhere well.  I used original, vintage postage stamps and Bo Bunny's Anthem collection papers.  The stamps were from 7 Gypsies.  This was so fun!

You've got to send mail in order to receive mail. So go make mail art! Don't forget to upload your postal themed projects at Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog for a chance to win a $50.00 spending spree at the Simon Says Stamp store.  Your project could also be featured in our Designer Spotlight!
