White Waffle Flower Tags

White.
That's the challenge this week at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. My inspiration came from classic Summer wardrobe staples. Crisp, white linen shirts billowing in the summer breeze and natural straw hats bursting with texture. Can you visualize it? I imagine flowers growing along the shore's edge. What type of flowers? Waffle Flowers.
I love those retro inspired blooms!

See the shimmer? I love using the Win of Stella Glitter Pen. It adds a touch of shine anywhere you want. My only regret is that I didn't purchase it earlier.

I'm going to Camp!

Camp Scrap, here I come!

http://www.craftwithmay.com

Am I excited? Yes, I am! Students can choose to register for the full event or just the session that interests them. Art Journaling, Kit-tastic, Mixed Media, and By Design are the four sessions being offered in 2014. Each session will have a new video lesson each week, exclusive projects, and so much more!
Check out Craft With May for all the details on the new interactive on-line crafty camp with May Flaum.

I can hardly wait, so I started a layout today. Here's what I'm working on...

The postal elements are stamps from JBS Merchantile. They're postal, so I had to have them. :)

Why Don't I Use it more?

When you are busy creating, do you ever use a technique or product and say to yourself, "Why don't I use this more often?" I think that we all do at some time or another, and that's the challenge this week for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. Tell us what you should use more of. For me, it's PanPastels. I love the shimmer and shine of the metallics. They can make anything glisten!

This week, I created a vintage inspired tag that reminds me of summer carnivals and ice cream.
If you've never used PanPastels, let me tell you a bit about them. Have you ever used chalk pastels? They are a bit like that, EXCEPT you don't need to get your hands all smudgey because they have these foam applicators that are a breeze to use. They also are creamier than the chalks and glide on smoother. It's hard for me to photograph the lovely shine that these create. I love them! Especially the metallic. Yum! They come in sets, or are sold individually. I should use these more often! I even added a tiny touch of the PanPastels to the pom pom balls. How fun is that!?!
What will you create?

be uplifted

Hello! I hope you're all having a wonderful and creative weekend.
I played some new goodies recently and enjoyed working with new stamps and dies from Waffle Flower.
They currently have a few challenges. One is a sketch challenge. I do love sketches! I shrunk the sketch to fit on Waffle Flower's Tag Die. I also flipped the sketch upside down and played fast and loose with the circles. The transparent sentiment is from BasicGrey's Herbs and Honey line. The stem is a floral wire.
This quick and simple project came together easily and was a ton of fun. And isn't that what it's all about?

As always, thanks for visiting!
:)
