Eileen Hull Stampendous Blog Hop

We're having a Block Party!

Eileen Hull's Inspiration Team has teamed up with Stampendous to share inspiration as well as prizes.
It's a Block Party!
For my project, I created a set of Boho-inspired mixed media blocks that will be perfect for home decor. I used a beautiful Stampendous Floral stamp and my favorite Sizzix blocks die.
I stamped the floral image on vellum, embossed it, and colored it with pencils. The soft color gave the flower a lovely translucent quality that I found magical. The stamp was larger than the blocks, so I used just a portion of the image on each side. Love that look!

We know this form of crafting will spark your interest and give your mojo a serious boost! That’s why we have prizes!!! We’ll choose three winners at random from the comments on all blogs in the hop. Then from those three we’ll randomly pick a GRAND PRIZE winner! Two of the winners will receive Stampendous PenPattern Petal and PenPattern Flutter cling stamps, just like you’ll see on Kristine Reynolds amazing ATB sample. They’ll also receive enough pre-cut, premium matboard from Sizzix to make two boxes of your own, plus some extra pieces for fiddly bits! The Grand Prize winner will receive the stamps as above, a whole package of matboard, AND the Sizzix die to cut your own ATB boxes! Uh, WOW! If that weren’t enough, eligibility for these amazing prize packages has expanded to include our international fans too!
We know you won’t want to miss a single creation in this hop, and the Eileen Hull Designs Inspiration Team has several members that live outside the United States, so it took a while for them to get their products from us. We need to give them time to post and you time to comment, so the comment deadline will be Sunday, March 8th. A whole extra week! We will continue posting links as we receive them from the Inspiration Team, so be sure to keep checking back. You get one entry for every comment, so you don’t want to miss the chance to leave a thoughtful comment on each project. For those who tend to get lost, we’ll post a “cumulative” link list of links so far on Saturday, February 28th and Saturday, March 7th. Then you can check your progress.
Today's Hop will take you to some very talented designers!

Sizzix Spoon Dolls; A Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge

This week there's no rules at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.
No Rules. Just Create.
So I did!
Sometimes when I look at my supplies, I see something entirely different. This week, I saw Spoon Dolls. The little spoons were cut from the Sizzix Spoon & Mug die by Eileen Hull. So cute! I am completely in love with the dolls' sweet little stamped faces.
The hair was made from a birthday set. It's true! And the party dresses are actually party HATS.
No rules, remember?
This was so much fun that I made two. :)

I drew on shoes with a black sharpie and it looks like she has thigh-gap, but trust me...she doesn't. These girls like CAKE just as much as I do!
Anything Goes! What will you create? Link your project to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog and your project could win a $50 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp.  We draw a new winner each week. Your project could also be chosen to be featured in our weekly designer spotlight.

Sizzix Art With Heart "Projects to Love"

Valentines Day may be over, but there's still many "Projects to Love."
I used the Sizzix Scoreboards Canister die and the Sunburst embossing folder to create this fun gift box suitable for the guy in my life. This die is part of the Vintage Kitchen Sizzix line by Eileen Hull. As you can see, these dies can be used for more than "Kitchen" projects.
Won't this make a cute gift box? Perfect for movie tickets or little trinkets.

I used the new DecoArt line of Fluid Acrylic Paints and Mediums. The colors are amazing! There's also antiquing creams. I used the Medium Gray Antiquing Cream to really bring out the details. The Gloss Varnish is my new favorite. It created the most gorgeous shine!

The Art with Heart Challenge is a monthly celebration of creativity!  Each month the Inspiration Team will be showcasing our Art with Heart created with Eileen Hull’s innovative Sizzix dies. This month, the theme is Projects to Love! We invite you to play along with us and share YOUR art with heart!
We want this to be a place for everyone to create, inspire and share.  We would love to see what you can do with Eileen Hull’s fabulous products but this is not a requirement.  Use what ever products your artful “heart” desires.  Art is for everyone so come along and share your Art with Heart!

We want you all to create freely there are no rules here, just a few simple guidelines…

2.Include a link to the current Art with Heart Challenge in your post so others can play along too!

3.When linking up your project please include a direct link to your post.

4.You are not required to use Eileen Hull Products in your projects.  However, those who do use Eileen Hull products will be given two entries into the prize draw.

What are your Projects to Love? There's still plenty of time to link your project. Need more inspiration? Be sure to check out Eileen's Blog. There are many projects there from whose names you will recognize. They're amazing artists!

A Piece of Paradise

This week, the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is "Piece of Paradise". Being that it's February and it's cold...still. I am dreaming of warm weather and a full mailbox. That's my paradise.
Last month, I made a resolution to send more mail. Well, that hasn't happened. In fact, I've already missed several important birthdays. (shame on me) But tomorrow is a new day and a  chance to start anew. What could be better than mailart? I created a watercolored flamingo that reminded me of the days when you'd get a "Wish You Were Here" letter or postcard from a friend on vacation.
I'm loving watercolors! I stamped my flamingo in Soft Granite ink before coloring.

What is your stamping paradise? Link your work to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog and your project could win a $50 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp.  We draw a new winner each week. Your project could also be chosen to be featured in our weekly designer spotlight.

Red + Pink; A New Simon Says Stamp Challenge

Red and Pink are two of my favorite colors. It wouldn't be Valentine's Day without them! This week, the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is to use Red and Pink. Use them together, or use them separately. It's your choice! I used the colors together to create a set of small, 3x3 Valentines.
Have you ever used watercolor crayons? Super fun! I created a watercolor wash over tiny embossed hearts.
And since I was making little cards, I needed little envelopes too. Easy-peasy with the We R Memory keepers envelope board.
How will you use red or pink? Link your work to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog and your project could win a $50 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp.  We draw a new winner each week. Your project could also be chosen to be featured in our weekly designer spotlight.
