Sizzix Sale

Sizzix is having a sale this weekend, and I wanted to let YOU know about it!  A few days ago, I was browsing through my computer files and I found this project from 2015.  It seems like yesterday!

I used theScoreBoards Sizzix #657724 Candy Cup Die to create a miniature planter for baby succulents. Yes, they're real plants! With the base, these plantersare about three inches tall. They're tiny! At the time, I didn't know that succulents were becoming a trend. I just knew that I loved the Candy Cup die! I made several of these miniature planters and gave them to friends. They were a hit!
I also used the Sizzix #660325 Flower Layers & Stem Thinlits, which happen to fit the Candy Cup perfectly! I made the base from a wooden disc and wooden bead, a little glue and a lot of paint..  So easy!

These dies are both included in the sale. So have fun! (wink!)

    1. Hi Diane! Glad you liked the crackle effect. To get this look I used DecoArt Crackle Glaze and filled in the cracks with some DecoArt Antiquing cream. This stuff is so easy to use. I just applied a thick later, and it crackles as it hardens. (Make sure it's dried thoroughly!) It's hard to find where I live, so I order it from JoAnn's online. Watch for sales! :)

There is more information where I first blogged this project here:

There's more information on the crackle mediums at the DecoArt website here:

And there's more information about the Antiquing creams here. I used the Patina Green color for this project. But they are all lovely.

      I hope this helps.
      Have a wonderful day!
