Paper Butterfly Lanterns

I am beyond excited to be on the Lori Whitlock Creative Team and I have lots of fun projects to share. Today's project was made just for fun. My husband says it's his favorite! It's a set of paper tea light lanterns that I made using my Silhouette Cameo.
You can find the Butterfly Lantern's SVG Digital cutting files at the Silhouette Design Store, or at the Lori Whitlock Design Store. This is a newer design that will enable you to cut two lanterns on one 12x12 paper. I cut mine out of the Silhouette brand chipboard. It's a thinner chipboard that's easy to cut, yet holds up to lots and lots of metallic paint!
When constructed, each lantern is approximately six inches tall.
The digital cutting file also includes the pattern pieces necessary to make the butterfly. I added glitter and vellum to my butterflies to make them the ethereal things that they are.

My husband thinks that I should make a bunch of them to hang at Christmas. What do you think?
Thanks so much for visiting my blog!
Have a creative day!
