Hello RetroSketches!

I was feeling a little "cutsie" when I made this card with some new Glitz products.  I flipped the sketch around and stamped and paper pieced the little owl.  Then, I cut a branch for him to perch upon.  Don't you love the those new enamel hearts from Prima?  I thought that they went well with that flair.

I love shiny things.  Who doesn't?  :) But I had a horrible time photographing this.  The flair kept picking up all kinds of interesting, yet distracting reflections.  In order to reduce the glare, I had to reduce the amount of light.  Results: eewww.  I'm not very good at photography, and I really don't enjoy taking photos.  I enjoy playing with the photos much, MUCH more than taking them.  But tell me...is there a simple trick to reducing the glare on shiny dark objects?

  5. FABULOUS card Michelle & CONGRATS on your Retro Sketch GD gig too :) :) :)
Unless you have a big flash you can bounce off the ceiling, I think the only way to reduce the glare from dark shiny obects is to not use them LOL!

  10. A very nice design and arrangement of elements. I'd try taking the picture from different angles or take the card outside and try photographing without the flash. Have a great week!
