This week, the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is "Distressed". Another excuse to use my distress inks? You betcha! I love my distress inks, but I love my friends and family even more.
I created these little 3x3 notes to express my appreciation and admiration. They're the perfect size to slip in a lunch bag or tuck in a care package.
I used the Grunge stamps to create a fun and funky inky/painty distressed background on 110 lb cardstock. The thicker 110 lb cardstock is strong enough to take a bit of wet media and still hold it's shape. The Simon exclusive die and stamp set had lots of sweet sentiments to choose from. I couldn't decide which ones to use, so I made several. :)
Do you use Distressed? Do you get distressed? Show us your Distressed project at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog and you could win a $50 gift vouch to use at Simon Says Stamp. Your project could also be featured in our Designer Spotlight.

Love these! Pretty, grungy and a beautiful result! And I love the idea of them being unexpected little surprises for your family!
ReplyDeleteOh so pretty Michelle! I love the gorgeous color palette you used! Thanks for the inspiration!
ReplyDeleteWow! These little cards pack a big punch! I really dig the color scheme you used and I like how tastefully you added the blingy glitter--like Old Hollywood elegance as opposed to tacky high heels on the strip (if that analogy made any sense at all). And I was so impressed at the variety of looks you were able to achieve while still keeping the same circular theme going. If I got one of these in my lunch, I'd totally forget to eat my sandwich because I'd be drooling over the card instead. Beautiful work, as usual!
ReplyDeleteHi Michelle! Love your cards! They are so beautifully done! I also wanted to thank you for the sweet comments you left in my blog. Hugs, Candy
ReplyDeleteWhat fun cards! Loving the layers of color and stamping and those embellishment you created are so fun!
ReplyDeleteMichelle, these are fabulously stunning! You've created marvelous works of art on these small canvases, that are sure to bring mega-watt smiles to all who receive them. I'm in awe...

ReplyDeleteAs always, you are inspiring! This color palette is amazing, I would never have thought about this, but now that I see it on paper is very pretty and well suited to spring that is coming! Beautiful details as always! BArbarayaya
ReplyDeleteTHESE are DARLING, Michelle! LOVE the stamping and the colors and the FAB sentiments!
ReplyDeleteThese are so adorably fantastic!!!!
ReplyDeleteThese are wonderful!!!!
ReplyDeleteThey're so much fun - such bright, zingy colours and lovely touches of bling. That YOU die is simply fabulous, especially in bold black against these beauties. Finding one of these in a lunch box would definitely put a smile on my face!!

THese are adorable! Love that they are mini and punch such a wow! I love the bright happy colors!
ReplyDeleteI've only recently started using Distress Inks, and now I don't know why I waited so long. I only own two ink pads though, so will need to build on that : ) Would you believe this weekend I finally bought the ink blender? I had been using the same make-up sponges for 15 years and thought that was "good enough." Ha, what a difference proper tools make!
ReplyDeleteAnyway, I LOVE diminutive sized cards, and 110 lb paper. Seriously love. And the tiny attacher. So it's no wonder that I've fallen in love with your series of cards here.
I don't distress. Here is my dirty little secret...shhh- I don't know the difference between that ink and other inks! Please don't tell on me. Meanwhile, coming to your blog always makes me smile, so If I had this sweet (but hip and grungy) card I'd give it right back to you!
