Hang Ups

Is it Monday already? That means there's another challenge for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. (And another week closer to Christmas!)
I like to create gift tags that can be kept and hung on the tree the following year. My sons have become men, so I'm always trying to come up with ideas that are more masculine. When you add a photo to these die cut luggage tags, it becomes a family heirloom that's guy-approved. Simple, yet fun!
I created these with a luggage tag die. I chose to make a "front" and a "back" and sandwiched the photo between. And the little buckle really works! So cute! Now the ornament will look good from all angles when it is hung.

Show us your ornaments. It could be something that you hang on a tree, or maybe a card featuring a stamped ornament image. Link your project to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog and your project could win a $50 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp.  We draw a new winner each week. Your project could also be chosen to be featured in our weekly designer spotlight.

  2. It's amazing to me all the purposeful items that can be made from die cuts--even luggage tags! Turning these into ornaments with such an amusing twist is very clever. They are sure to bring lots of laughs and cheer (and maybe a few groans?) from your grown-up sons and a good reminder that they'll always be your "boys." ☺
