I've really enjoyed the holidays and spending time with my family. My little hiatus has left me feeling renewed and excited for my most creative year to come. At the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, it’s time for the first challenge of 2015! We’d like to kick things off celebrating both old and new. Will you use an old stamp in a new way? Or perhaps a new technique with an old stamp?
I created this card with a bird stamp from Hero Arts 2014 Spring line. This classic image is fun to watercolor and will always be one of my favorites. The brushstroke trend is still going strong. Isn't it fun? Watercolors complement the newly released We R Memory Keepers Love Notes paper.
What will you be making for our first challenge this year? Show us what you've created. Link your Old and New project to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog and your project could win a $50 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp. We draw a new winner each week. Your project could also be chosen to be featured in our weekly designer spotlight.

ReplyDeleteHi, Michelle. Absolutely gorgeous card. You inspired me to participate in the SSS Monday Challenge. I love this trend of brushstroke letters. However, I do not own any stamps with these style. The challenge forced me to go back to some old $1 sets to pull out words that could resemble this font. Watercolors is what I used to recreate the soft palette in your card. Thanks for sharing your creativity. cheers!
