Happy Monday! I hope you've had a wonderful Thanksgiving. Now that the turkey's gone, it's time to get crafty with another challenge at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog.
This week we are have a "Gentlemen's Challenge.
We have a lot of testosterone in our home during the Holidays. I love my guys, but it can be really challenging to dress up their packages. That's not going to stop me.....
I love the fonts in the Scribbly Tree stamp set. Truthfully, that's why I bought it. With a bit of masking, the sentiments fit these stamped gentlemen wonderfully.
I began the project with the intent on making paper feathers. I didn't use a die for these. I cut them freehand. But when the paint dried and I began cutting the vanes, I realized that they looked a lot like trees. So I cut the bottom off and voila! Feather trees. :)
I am not afraid to use color. The Holidays aren't always red and green.
Cheers!
Your project could also be chosen for our designer spotlight. It's nice to get some recognition.
You deserve it!
