Trellis&Twig Paperie Crepe Paper Flower Berries

Awhile back, I mentioned that I was making the flowers for my daughter's wedding this coming fall. I have enjoyed this so much! I have been crafting like a crazy woman. Every.Single.Day. Which is ironic, because to my blog readers, it must appear that my crafting has slowed down. I can assure you, however, that this is not the case.
Let me share some things that I've been working on....

Paper Berries!
I didn't take very many process photos, but I can assure you that it was really quite easy. The berries themselves are made with gold tissue paper wrapped around a "wad" of paper on a wire. (Picture a Dum-Dum sucker being wrapped in paper.) I used paint and PanPastels for coloring the berries. I really like using these. The colors are so intense. PanPastels have not only stolen my heart, they've taken a good share of my money as well. The leaves are crepe paper colored with PanPastels. And then I wrapped it all together with floral tape. I've made 40 stems of berries so far, which will be added to the table centerpieces I have planned on making. It's going to be a long work in process, but I am loving every minute! So much so, that I've acquired a domain name and am working towards developing my Trellis&Twig Paperie brand into a real-life honest-to-goodness business. But meanwhile, I'll have fun making paper flowers!
