DCWV Blog Hop

Hello! The wonderful people at DCWV have collaborated with the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team this month so that we could bring you fun and festive ideas using Eileen Hull's Sizzix Dies and lavish new DCWV paper pads.

I used Eileen's Candy Cup Die with DCWV Cranberry Christmas Premium Stack to make holiday favors. I also used some decorative embellishments from the DCWV Gift Decor Paper Stack. I was really impressed with all of the foil accents included with the papers. I was also impressed that the papers were a good, heavy weight. I was able to easily construct the cups without using chipboard or cardboard and they held their shape nicely.

Our family LOVES candy, so for some of the cups I added additional height by inserting a paper ruffle. I used The Eileen Hull Sizzix Pleated Ruffle #2 Die. Hint: You can also make a pretty box pleat with this die by simply folding it differently as shown in the photo below. It's like having two dies in one!

In order to get as much candy as possible into the cups, I reinforced the ruffle with a portion of the Flower Layers & Stem Die. It worked beautifully and looked cute too!

Yes, we REALLY do like candy!
