Sizzix House Pocket Curio

This month, Sizzix has been running a "Makers Challenge" with the Eileen Hull House Pocket Die. Simply upload your project and tag your project #eileenhull and #sizzix for the opportunity to win an awesome gift package from Sizzix.

In keeping with that theme, the Eileen Hull Inspiration Team has been thinking of fun new ways to use Eileen's Dies. The House Pocket Die is unique in that it can be used as a House, or turned upside down into a Pocket....but that's not all!

I added extra cardboard to make a little curio cabinet for the tiny little treasures that I can't live without.

To make my little display box, I cut the cardboard with my die, and then I cut 1-inch strips of cardboard to make my frame. If you're not sure what materials can be cut with a Thinlit Die, or are having problems cutting various materials, check out this Eileen Hull Facebook Live Video where she goes over various cutting techniques.Truthfully, I had no idea what I was doing. I just kept measuring and gluing. There are mistakes. But thankfully, glitter hides just just about everything.
All in all, I am pleased with the way it came about. I never would've been able to have made with this without the Sizzix Die. Getting the angles right would've been a nightmare.

Don't forget to upload your Sizzix House Pocket Creations. You have until August 30th. If you don't have the die, be sure to checkout your local Hobby Lobby. It's currently on sale there.

Thanks for visiting my house!

Have a creative Day!
