May Your Day Be As Amazing As You Are

 Last Spring I was fortunate to have enrolled in the Altenew Secret Garden Retreat. It was an all day event that featured amazing instructors and a huge cache of beautiful products.

Here I am six months later and I'm still using those products! This stamp set features two large bouquets of flowers and some of my favorite sentiments. Including the sentiment that I included on this card.

The flowers were colored with a coordinating stencil, and the background was created with lots and lots of inking. I accidentally discovered my new favorite inking technique. The original background seemed too bright and the look was not at all what I was going for. So, assuming that there was nothing to lose, I began covering it with white pigment ink. What I saw unfolding before me was the exact dreamy look that I was wanting. I did an actual happy dance! It took forever to dry, but was soooo worth it!
