The blocks were easily constructed from cereal box cardboard. I created some cubes and secured them with hot glue. Yes, using the glue gun can be SCARY. Don't let the construction FRIGHTEN you off. Remember 10th grade geometry? Yeah....me neither. How EERIE! But if someone had told me that I'd be making cool paper cubes someday, I bet that I would've paid more attention in class.
I created a cube "pattern" and then cut the cereal boxes down to size and ran the cardboard through the printer. (I used 6 pieces of cardboard or three cereal boxes. (YAY~! Recycling!) Running them through the printer was much easier than tracing. I cut out the cube printed cardboard with scissors. The score board was really helpful in creating tight creases for folding. I secured the blocks with hot glue and then I gave them a base coat of black paint. I stamped and sprayed some Glitz patterned papers and cut them to size for the cubes. (I used 6 different patterns) The papers were glued down with a glue stick. Below is a photo of the SAME set of blocks. The Owl mysteriously disappeared!
