Stamp and Punch: My Simon Says Stamp Monday Project

Happy Monday! We have a brand new challenge ready for you on the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog. This is a fun one!
Whether you use a die cut with coordinating stamp, use a paper punch on a background stamp, or stamp a pre-made diecut shape or alphabet sticker; this week we want to see your projects that feature a punch or die cut with a stamp.
I had a lot of fun with the challenge this week. I altered an antique bottle! I used my Waffle Flower Crafts stamps and dies to create some fun leaves for my dimensional paper flower.
I wanted color variation on my leaves, so I created a watercolor paper wash and stamped on that. I could've stamped it first and then colored it in, but the water tends to pool towards the edges. I've found that with spaces this small it's easier to color the paper first and then stamp and emboss to create color variations throughout the individual fronds, or "leaves".
Paper flower making is relatively new to me. I've always admired Emma Williams' (my teammate's) flowers. Her handcrafted flowers beautiful creations. Recently, I was once again admiring them and I was inspired to create some for myself. And I loved it! I'll be making more flowers in the future. :)

Join us! Use a punch or die cut with your stamp and link your project to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge . You could receive a $50 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp. We draw a new winner each week. Your project could also be chosen to be in our designer spotlight.

If you use instagram add  #sssmchallenge to your challenge entry uploads so we can see them on there too!
