Paper and Paste

This week we are challenging everyone to use Paste for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge. For my project, I created a Thank You card loaded with textural elements. I used gold embossing paste from Wendy Vecchi to create a stenciled background. Before the paste dried, I sprinkled on Antique Linen Distress Glitter to add even more texture and shine to the paste.  I love how well the two products coordinate. It's as if they were meant for each other.

Speaking of products that work well together...check out the way those Paper Artsy stamps fit in the Avery Elle pinked die shapes.  Perfect! What a wonderful discovery. I love that!
I am so thankful that Simon Says Stamp carries a wide variety of products from different manufacturers. Remember Hannibal Smith from the "A Team"? He would say, "I love it when a plan comes together."

How do you paste? Link your project to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog for the opportunity to win a $50 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp.  These vouchers are given out each week to a random participant. It could be you! Your project could also be chosen to be featured in our designer spotlight.

Happy Stamping!

Cameo Silhouette

I love silhouettes. I really, really do.  This week's theme for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is Cameo Appearance. Admittedly, this is one of my all time favorite challenges.
These cameo magnets were inspired by not only by silhouettes, but also by vintage chalkware as well as old shell art.  A paper rosette nestles sweetly within the tart tin. The flowers were created by using Martha Stewart's Crafter's Clay.  I added a touch of metallic distress paint (I LOVE that stuff!!) as well as distress ink to the flowers after they had dried.
I created several of these with rosette variations. So much fun! This pair is a gift for someone special. I hope she likes them! What will you create for your "Cameo Appearance"?  Link your creations to the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog for the opportunity to win a $50 voucher to Simon Says Stamp. Your work could also be chosen to be featured in our Designer Spotlight!

Puppy Love

We Love Stamps!
We are sharing our love of stamps for this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge.  I know that I love my stamps and I love using them in unique and different ways.  For this challenge, I used the Kelly Purkey, Oliver stamp set and the BasicGrey Fresh Cut papers to create a series of mini Valentines Day cards.
Valentines Day is right around the corner. Don't worry! There's still time to make some fun cards.  My dog themed cards were inspired by my grand-doggies; Harvey, Hugo, Wedge and Foster. Such Valentine sweeties!

Do you recall getting little cards in elementary school?  Sometimes they had weird themes such as popular TV characters. I remember getting Donny Osmond, Welcome Back Kotter and Scooby Doo cards tucked in my decorated Valentines Day box. I do not think that they had anything to do with Valentines Day, but I thought that they were Groovy! ;)
Join the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge in our "We Love Stamps" challenge this week for a chance to win a $50 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp.  We know that you love stamps too, so go ahead and link up! Your project could also be featured in our weekly designer spotlight.

Happy Stamping!

By the way, EVERYONE knows that "I love stamps!"
I received this Kelly Purkey set from my Mother. She purchased these stamps from Simon Says Stamp for me for Christmas.  Thanks Mom!  I love them!
