Anything Goes

Anything Goes this week for the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge! Yay!
"Anything Goes" is a wonderful time to create those projects that you've been wanting to do, but keep putting off. This week, I created a candy container from a Sizzix die and the BasicGrey Herbs and Honey papers.  When I first saw those papers, I knew that the little labels would be darling on a container of sorts. And they are! And, yes, you've seen me use this die before. I love it!

This project came together quickly. It was a matter of cut and glue. (aka FUN!)

The "lid" on the jar was created by swiping a few lines of paint across it. Easy!

The vellum was also cut with a die. I used scissors to cut triangles into the folds to create a lacy edge.

These little jars are so tiny that they make the suckers look huge.  And we all know how small Dum-Dum's have become. At least they're are inexpensive, so I was able to tuck several of them in. (note: I originally tried Tootsie Pops, but they were too large and the jars kept tipping over. The small ones work best.) I think that I'm going to revisit this project in the fall and create some holiday-themed jars. Won't that be cute?
Meanwhile, what will you create this week?
Join us this week at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog and your project could win a $50 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp.  We draw a new winner each week! Your project could also be chosen to be featured in our weekly designer spotlight.

  11. LOVE this project! I went drooly just looking at it-- both because I'm in sugar deficit mode at the moment and because it's so dang yummy-looking! That color palette is fantastic and you absolutely made pink sophisticated with all of the patterns and shapes you incorporated. I really like the bits of twine around the lid, too. Gorgeous, gorgeous and this made me wish I had that jar die!
