I bought these cute little wooden pegs at Michaels. I gave them a quick coat of acrylic paint, Sharpie dot eyes, and an acorn cap. Their bodies are wrapped in Washi tape. Fun, aren't they? The background is a paint-by-number that my Grandfather did in 1962. I think the peg people are ready to move right in!
These are so cute! I love the acorn hats, this would be a great little project to do with kids.....I need to get some, my girls would have a blast!

ReplyDeleteLOVE these little cuties! And to position them in front of your Grandfather's paint-by-numbers was sheer genius. They look like they were made to live in that setting! Yet another great way to preserve the past, which is one of the many things I appreciate about your art. Great use of Washi, too!
ReplyDeleteWhat a creative way to dress up the peg people :)
ReplyDeleteOh my gosh, so creative!! I love their acorn caps! And the paint-by-number is so trendy now (well, really since about 5 years ago, right?) Being by your grandfather makes it all the more special. i have a few for the winter that I rotate in.
