A Piece of Paradise

This week, the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge is "Piece of Paradise". Being that it's February and it's cold...still. I am dreaming of warm weather and a full mailbox. That's my paradise.
Last month, I made a resolution to send more mail. Well, that hasn't happened. In fact, I've already missed several important birthdays. (shame on me) But tomorrow is a new day and a  chance to start anew. What could be better than mailart? I created a watercolored flamingo that reminded me of the days when you'd get a "Wish You Were Here" letter or postcard from a friend on vacation.
I'm loving watercolors! I stamped my flamingo in Soft Granite ink before coloring.

    You are so absolutely fabulous at all things mail-related! I really love the bit of retro-coolness that you incorporate into your art and I adore how this piece turned out. That watercoloring is fab-u-lous! And as an unrelated side note, I bet you absolutely rocked your fuchsia hairdo!
