Hello! For this week's Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge, we are adding "Just a Pinch" of something to finish it off. While my teammates have added a pinch of glitter or a pinch of color, I have added a pinch of weirdness to my journal page.
Since 90% of my projects include glitter, I think adding a pinch of that would've been an understatement, so I chose to work in my art journal. It does indeed include a pinch of weirdness. The old yearbook was begging to be cut up and reassembled. It was fun. And isn't that the whole point?
I couldn't get the book to lie flat to be photographed, so I ripped the page out. I easily added it back in with more washi. They call that a "tip-in." And the extra garland is going to be used for gift wrapping!!
Your project could also be chosen for our designer spotlight. It's nice to get some recognition.
Go For It!
This is gorgeous! LOVING that garland!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
ReplyDeleteLove it! I was looking at it trying to find the weirdness and then realized the faces looked off and it gave me a chuckle! Fab journal page and that garland is so cool!

Simon Says Stamp!
Absolute coolest project in the history of EVER!!! I adore everything about this and think it nails all of your talents on the head: your absolute unique creativity, your mastery of color, your preservation of history, your nod to retro, and your attention to detail. I want to wallpaper my room with that garland and I thought it was so interesting to see what you'd done with the pics. Cutting them and re-arranging them was brilliant. This is a seriously incredible work of art and I think it's safe to say that these students have never looked better!!!!
ReplyDeleteOh, I agree with Andrea - this is so far out of the ball park that it's in the next one!! Fantastically creative - I just love what you've done with the photos, and yes, that garland is completely and utterly wonderful. Love, love, love!

Oh, this is funny!! love what you did to the photos - every year at school when it was picture time, the art teacher would take a photo of each of the adults and cut them up and mix them up - boy did we laugh! Love your little garland too!
