Sizzix Twist and Style Craft Tool: Modern Paper Flowers

Hello! Have you missed me? I have been incredibly busy helping my daughter prepare for her wedding. Now that she's happily married, I have many new DIY projects that I'm looking forward to sharing with you. Today, I'd like to share an easy paper flower project that I created with the Sizzix Twist & Style Tool.

This was a last minute project that I fell in love with. I had wrestled with creating a pom-pom type flower before, but I was never able to get a nice tight flower. With the Twist and Style Tool, I was able to make each flower in less than five minutes!

I cut a two inch strip from fine crepe and fringed the edges as shown. I used a silver paper from the new Lia Griffith Crepe Paper. It's a soft crepe that feels almost like fabric. I then doubled a piece of paddle wire (found at all local craft stores) and secured it with a brief manual twist. I attached the ends of the wire to my Twist and Style Craft Tool and Twisted until it made a nice stem. The branches were also twisted with the Twist and Style Craft Tool and then the tips were dipped in silver metallic paint.

I have arthritic hands and I never would've been able to make this without the Twist and Style Craft ToolIt's so easy to use that this entire project can be completed in minutes.

Thanks for letting me share!
