Sizzix Twist and Style Autumn Garland

Today I would like to share an Autumn Home Decor project that I made using the new Sizzix Twist & Style Tool.

When it comes to decorating, I like the glam look, but not the high-end prices. In fact, my friends will tell you that I am a very frugal shopper. Other people will say that I'm cheap. I love the pretty boutique-style candles, but let's face it...it's just a candle. So I bought a no-name candle that smells wonderful and added some Sizzix magic.

I cut the leaf from scrap cardstock using the Sizzix Bigz Spring Leaf Die. (It is one of my favorite dies!) I then painted it with the DecoArt Media paints. I love the way these paints mix. By adding a few drops of silver or gold, any color can become a rich, lustrous metallic. 

Rather than wrap the candle in ribbon or raffia, I used the Twist and Style Craft Tool to create a wire wrap candle garland. This tool works like magic! It twists individual strands into a decorative trim in seconds. You can twist wire, raffia, ribbon, fibers, and even fabric! I've used it to make a set of napkin rings a few months ago. A charm was all I needed to complete my Candle Garland.

I have arthritic hands and I never would've been able to make this without the Twist and Style Craft Tool. It's so easy to use that this entire project can be completed in minutes.
