November 2018 Lori Whitlock Creative Team Blog Hop & Tutorial

Hello! Thank you for joining me for the November 2018 Blog Hop with the Lori Whitlock Creative Team at Lori Whitlock. I have TWO projects combined to share today, discounts, a fun free cut file, AND a tutorial!

It might still be Autumn, but today I have a Christmas craft. Today's project is an Ornament Box using the Celebrate Christmas line of papers Lori designed for Echo Park Paper. The box can be found in three different sizes at the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop as well as at the Silhouette Design Store. You can't give away an ornament box without putting an ornament in it, so I made a scaled down version of this little house to put in my plastic ornament ball. You can find the House files at the Lori Whitlock SVG Shop or at the Silhouette Design Store.

Currently, Lori is having a sale in her SVG Shop. Use code NOV2018 at checkout in order to receive 30% off your entire purchase. Get it now, because it is only on sale for a limited time.
Don't miss out! No code or minimum required.
Today, 3 Layered Pumpkins is free in the shop!

Now for the Ornament Box Tutorial....

The box is simply made, with two inserts to hold the ornament in place. To make the box, download the files and open them with your electronic cutting machine.

  1. Ungroup your files. See the labeled pieces in the photo above? Using the photo as a guide, cut all of your pieces.
2. Cover Box Front and Back Pieces with covering panels and glue together by putting glue on the tab. Set Aside.
3. Cover Lid with desired covering panels. Place glue on the tabs and glue to adjacent piece. Set aside.
4. Finish Making Box by placing glue on tab and connect one end to the other.
5. Turn Box Upside down and place glue on the bottom flap.to secure in place. Set aside to dry.
6. Fold Perforated tabs downward to make box inserts.
7. Place inserts in box and box lids. The large circle insert in for the bottom. The small circle insert is for the top.

Now your box is complete! Add coordinating ribbon or twine to hold lid in place. Embellish as desired.

Thanks for visiting today!
