When our kids were young, we lived in a small village. It wasn't a town or city, it was a "village" with the population of about 800 people. Parades were so much fun! You knew everyone. When people waved at the spectators, it was a friendly wave...not a phony wave. The parade was short, but everyone was either in it, or watching it. It was a community united. This is was my inspiration for the project.
I made my "Main Street" paper house with the "America the Beautiful" collection by Echo Park Paper. I love this line. The prints are cute, and practical. I love the blue plaid on the roof. I've NEVER seen a blue checked plaid like that. Isn't it great?
The embellishments are cute too!
I know the the 4th is over, but you should grab this collection while you can. This is one of my favorite projects. I hope that you like it too.
Have a crafty day!
