Feelin' Girlie

This week's sketch at RetroSketches is based off of a card that I did last Winter. (You can see the original post here)  That version had a masculine edge, so I wanted to create a more feminine version this time.
This card was super fun to create.  I had used some older Dear Lizzy paper and embellishments, a vintage book page as well as some new stamps from Prima.  I LOVE those Prima stamps!  I adore the look of stitching, but I don't like using a sewing machine. There's a square set of stamps too.  Fabulous, aren't they?

I'm a Guest designer this month at the RetroSketches blog, so pop over and say hello.

Sew Cute!

I used the Needle Little Love set from Paper Smooches for their current Designer Drafts sketch challenge this week.

I am also linking this to the Simon Says Stamp and Show "A Little Paper" Challenge.  I used a 6x6 pad of the new Crate Paper, "The Pier" papers.  I think it's my new favorite line!  I have really been enjoying sketch challenges lately.  Thanks for letting me share them with you!

Sew Much

Just recently, I purchased this Needle Little Love stamp set from Paper Smooches.  I had a lot of fun with this and I am sure that it is going to be one of my favorite stamp sets.
Winterfest is still going on at Two Peas in a Bucket.  There are stamping challenges and games going on everyday this week in the stamping forum.  This card was inspired by The Hearts Galore Challenge posted there.

Sew Fun!

Embroidered kitchen towels are so retro-cool!
(My photography skills are not.)

Embroidery is back, baby!
These kitchen tea-towels were sooo fun to sew!  The patterns were generously provided for free online.  The flower lady and happy teacup patterns were found at doe-c-doe.  And the mushroom gnome pattern came from Aimee Ray.  A pack of four plain towels was about $5.00 at Target.  What a deal!  I've been stitching up a bunch of these little towels.  The ones in the photo are heading to Lexington.  I hope she likes them! xoxox
