Journey Journal

Anything Goes this week at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge blog.  Anything?  Yes, anything! If you can create it, we'd love to see it.
The Christmas season often robs me of creativity.  Does that happen to you too? Lots of demands and little down-time. Ugh! To find my mojo, I need to play.  A messy, messy play!  I used canvas as a base and explored different effects with paints, inks and ephemera. The canvas was strong enough to take on many layers and still remain durable, so I used a simple pamphlet stitch and tied in some pages for a quick and easy (yet durable!) notebook.

Now it's your turn to play.  Don't forget...anything goes! Link up your latest creative project at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge for a chance to win a $50.00 gift voucher to the Simon Says Stamp store.

  20. Michelle! When I saw this piece, it literally made me gasp out loud! My husband thought I'd choked on an almond, but was relieved to find that I was just simply stunned by another piece of your work. I really love the way you blended those colors together and it's got this remarkable ethereal kind of vibe. This is totally my type of art and I really would buy this if it was a wall-sized mural! Incredible!

  21. Very cool, Michelle. I love your mixed media cover that you've created out of canvas. The design with the bright colors and various patterns looks really good! Love that pamphlet stitch. I learned it in an art journaling class with Seth Apter last week at CHA. It was lots of fun being on the design team with you! Continued success to you in the future. <3 Candy
