I have a wonderful husband, a family that I adore, and a lovely collection of stamps and stencils that allow me to create almost anything. It's been a rough week. Thank goodness for stamping therapy!
I created a scrapbook page this week that features Autumn leaves. I am really enjoying creating leaves this year. These leaves were cut with my Sizzix, colored with distress inks, and embellished with golden shattered circles. The circles were so easy to make with embossing paste and a stencil. I love that golden glow.
Simon Says Stamp was founded in 2002 with an interest in exclusively selling rubber stamps. It didn’t take long until we realized we couldn’t stop there. For more than 10 years we have celebrated rubber stamping and its glory. We work to bring companies from around the world together in a one stop shopping environment. Rubber stamps still remain the heart of our business and we are celebrating by hosting a “STAMPtember®" event intended to inspire, educate, and celebrate the delight of rubber stamping. Part of the enticement of rubber stamping is that stamps can be used in creating or complementing ANYTHING! From stamping dates on bank documents and postage parcels in the early 18th century, rubber stamping has dramatically expanded to include card making, scrapbooking, mixed media and many forms of altering and expressing art.
Don't forget to show us what you're created with your stamps and stencils!
Join us this week at the Simon Says Stamp Monday Challenge Blog and your project could win a $50 gift voucher to Simon Says Stamp. We draw a new winner each week. Your project could also be chosen to be featured in our weekly designer spotlight.

ReplyDeleteFantastic layout Michelle! Love the beautiful fall foliage! The look like the real deal! Hope you have a better week ~ sending smiles and sunshine your way :)
ReplyDeleteI really admire the tranquility here. The composition appeals to me for its simplicity and order (I lean towards a "less is more" preference). The little bits here and there move the viewer around the piece to appreciate all the details. The muted color scheme suits the black and white photo perfectly. The font you chose plays off the rounded corners of your triptych and evokes a perfect nostagia. My compliments!
ReplyDeleteFabulous layout Michelle and like you, I am LOVING creating leaves this year and absolutely adore your leaves. The added stenciling over the top is perfect... :)

ReplyDeleteI have to tell you, Michelle, that I buy more products because of you than anyone else! You are always finding such great supplies and using them in totally refreshing and original ways. I feel like I'm a spy when I look at your blog because your product lists turn into my next secret shopping lists! Nothing says admiration like copying what you've bought and used so brilliantly! On this piece, I especially like how you blended clean straight lines with funky stenciling. It looks fantastic!
