Interactive cards are my favorite. I love that you can hold the card in your hand and engage your mind and soul in ways that an email will never compete.
As part of the Altenew Educator Certification Program (AECP), I took a class from Lydia Evans titled, All About Layering 4. This free class (Yes, FREE!) had numerous tips on making those layered stamps do all of the coloring work, as well as tips on composition with stamped images.
The construction of this card looks complicated, but really it's not. It's a pop through lever card design that opens and closes like a little accordion. This one I designed myself in a slimline format. I liked the look of a tall, leggy plant on a tall skinny card,
The spine of the card is actually a back view. I attached small sentiments of encouragement to the pop through panels. This encourages the recipient to interact with the card and turn it over in their hands. I stamped some small flowers (included in the stamp set) and added details with the Pocket Full of Sunshine Artist Alcohol Marker Set.
I hope that you've enjoyed seeing my interactive slimline card as much as I enjoyed creating it.
